Publicity Officer's Role

Club

The role of a Bowling Club Publicity Officer is important as they have the task of promoting and gaining exposure for special occasions and events conducted by their club and the special achievements of bowling members.

At Coast BOWLS NEWS we are particularly interested in receiving details of Club Championship results, details and results of special days / tournaments, Club milestones and anniversaries, special achievements of club bowlers at home or away events, profiles on special achievers (past or present), profile of special Club identities  / characters and /or volunteer workers, details and results of Charity / Fundraising Days, details of President’s / Presentation Days, the changing face of a Club through renovations / refurbishments, change of caterers, new synthetic greens, green naming.

Unless it is a high profile bowler or an exceptionally well known Bowls Administrator throughout the Zone, we do not publish Vales as they can be numerous in number and are more pertinent to local Club magazines and newsletters.

Wherever possible, such editorial information is more complete and entertaining if supported with an appropriate photo or two.
