TOM NAILARD NAILS VETERAN SINGLES TITLE

Rookies Singles and Pairs runner-up in 2014, Avoca’s Tom Nailard had to call upon all his experience to take out the BCC-Z15 Veteran Singles title from Mingara’s Peter Yates who held the upper hand for much of the game.
Yates seemed to have established a match winning break at 17-12 in a shortened 21 up game but to his credit, Nailard knuckled down in tricky and difficult windy conditions to level at 20 all.
Nailard’s confidence was up and he out drew Yates on the final end to snare the title.
It was Tom’s first BCC-Z15 title and one that will become a forever lasting memory.
