Coronavirus & ClubsNSW Advice

As of yesterday (24/3/2020) ClubsNSW has issued a notice that in part says "golf and bowls Clubs may continue to permit or facilitate games on their courses and greens."

This morning (25/3/2020) following the Prime Ministers statement last night Bowls NSW has advised that "Following from decisions made last night and announced by the Prime Minister, we advise all clubs that all organised sporting events and all social sporting activities must cease, including all forms of lawn bowls activity from Midnight tonight (Thursday 25 March).   Please note that these restrictions are now enforceable."

As Bowls Central Coast has stated before Clubs are entitled to use their facilities as they see fit and at their own risk.  Our advice to Clubs and bowlers is consistent with that given to them by Bowls NSW (i.e. don't play bowls until further advised).

Perhaps the last word should be given to the Prime Minister who stated last night:
"Australians should stay at home, unless shopping for essentials, travelling to and from work - where you cannot work from home, going to school and exercising. Keep visitors to your home at a minimum. In outdoor spaces do not congregate in groups."
