The 2021 Region 6 Championships were finally played on Sunday 13th February 2022 at Belmont Bowling Club. As we had double up of players in several events the matches had to be played a.m. & p.m. In the morning the Singles, Open Pairs & Open & Senior Fours were played. The afternoon games were Senior Pairs, Triples & Mixed Pairs.
The day started out cloudy with quite a breeze blowing across from the golf course, however showers developed and then a torrential downpour occurred midway through. How lucky for the players and spectators that Belmont had the 2 undercover synthetic greens so played continued without delay.
There were great bowls played throughout with some very close finishes.
Congratulations to all players for reaching the Regional playoffs. We wish all winners good bowling when they go to the State playoffs in Tamworth.
