2021 Womens State Pennant Finals

The 2021 Womens State Pennant Finals carried over from last year were played from 18th to 23rd March 2022 at Forster and Tuncurry/Forster Sporties Clubs.

Congratulations to Central Coast’s Munmorah Utd who are the very proud winners of the Grade 2 State Pennant Flag.     What exciting matches to watch.   They won their section without losing a match against Cabramatta and Engadine clubs.  Then in a thrilling Semi-Final won against Tuncurry Beach  40 to 39.  They then went on to play Bomaderry in the Final.   Our ladies played extremely well and won 43 to 30.

In Grade 3 Wyong played Narrabri, Gymea and Brunswick Heads.  They won 2 out of 3 matches with a total of 9 points, but were beaten in their Section by Gymea who had a total of 11 points.   Well done to the Wyong players. You can be very proud of your efforts.

Our other Regional representatives were from Lake Macquarie District.

Grade 1 Charlestown.      These ladies won all 5 games in their section and went on to play Cabramatta in the Finals.  What an exciting match to watch.   The ladies from Charlestown played lovely bowls and had Cabramatta on the back foot until the last few ends.   There was only 3 the difference in Cabramatta’s favour ,with one end to play.  However the Cabramatta players showed their experience and won 41 to 35.     Congratulations to Charlestown State Runners Up Grade 1.     A great effort against such high profile players.

Grade 4  Swansea Workers.  They tried their best but came up against some strong opposition, winning only 1 of their 3 matches.
