At the Bowls Central Coast Presentation Day, Halekulani's Phil Flippence was declared the Bowler of the Year.  In a massive year Phil won the Zone 15 triples with Alan Breakwell and Paul Williams. With Michael Stead he won the Zone Pairs also making the semi-final of the State Title.   He was selected in the State Seniors Team as well as the Zone Representative Team and the Seniors Side.  With Halekulani he won a Zone Grade 1 Pennant and was runner-up for the State Pennant.  He also won the State Greenkeepers Singles.  A remarkable effort from a remarkable bowler.

After a brilliant year in which he won the State Senior Singles Title, Lindsay was declared Runner-up Bowler of the Year at the Bowls Central Coast Presentation Day.

While Lindsay does not consider himself disabled, just "mildly inconvienienced", he does have only one leg and was declared at the RNSWBA Awards night to be the Disability Bowler of the Year.  At the Bowls Central Coast Presentation Day Lindsay was presented with the Trophy by State Councilor John Peek.

Ettalong's 16 year old Harley McDonald has been selected in the NSW Junior Squad.  Harley has been playing bowls for 5 years and has won numerous Bowls Central Coast Junior Titles.  For the past two years he has been playing in the Ettalong Grade 1 Pennant Team, including the 2008 Team that won the Pennant.  He was recently selected to play for Country in the traditional City v Country 2 day event and obviously caught the eye of the Selectors.  Congratulations Harley.
