The State Pairs and Senior Pairs were played on 11th,12th & 13th July. Host venues were Ettalong (Mon, Tues), Halekulani (Mon) and Gosford City (Wed). Thanks to all clubs for their hospitality.
Entries received were: 26 for the Pairs. 30 for the Senior Pairs
The weather, although chilly, was kind and all matches were completed without interruption. There were some very close games throughout both events.
The Finals were held at Gosford on Wednesday 13th.

This match was played between Margaret Smith & Karen Croker (Ettalong) and Christine Hamalainen & Donna Hamilton (Ourimbah). It was first time into a District final for a nervous Christine & Donna. They played some lovely bowls but the experience of Margaret & Karen proved too strong and they went on to win comfortably. Congratulations to Margaret & Karen and well done to Christine & Donna.

This match was keenly contested between Robyn Deane & Michelle Treadwell (Halekulani) and Mary Farrugia & Maria Wallis (Bateau Bay). After a slow start by Mary & Maria they caught up to Robyn & Michelle then the lead seesawed between the two. Robyn & Michelle got a handy 6 towards the latter part of the game and kept the lead from then. Great bowling from both teams. Congratulations to Robyn & Michelle and well done to Mary & Maria.
