A round robin twilight final of three games of five ends was played out at Umina Beach BC on Friday 16th February amongst four teams who had won their way through Sectional play at their respective Clubs and won a Catchment Final against other Section winners in their area.
They were playing for a share of $1,000, so the usual carefree atmosphere became a little tenser as bowlers took their turn on the mat.
The outright winner after three games was the Davistown RSL Pair of Mark Simpson & Alice Diamond, 2 1/2 wins +5, Runners Up Toukley District’s Michael Gulliver & David Spiers 1 1/2 wins +1, Third Mooney Mooney’s Kelly Mussett & Wayne Hughes 1 win nil margin and Fourth Munmorah United Nathan Collins & Michael Heaton1 win -6.
